Welcome to "Equus" the Zagat-rated and AAHS Award Winning 5-Star Restaurant, which offers a breathtaking ambiance with its stunning design and equally impressive dining. Creativity abounds in its appetizers, main courses and seductive desserts.

These gourmet pleasures can be enjoyed in any one of the three dining rooms, each with its own distinct decor and atmosphere. They include the "Tapestry Room" with its oversized embroideries and elaborately designed ceiling is a canvas of beautiful paintings; the "Garden Room" offering exquisite views of the Castle's gardens, Hudson River Valley and Manhattan skyline; and the historic "Oak Room" first owned by Louis XIV brought intact to New York when the Castle was first built a century ago.

The renovated General's Bar is a great place to relax, socialize and enjoy your favorite libation or a light meal. The spectacular outdoor seasonal Terrace is an inviting setting for romantic dining and cocktails.

Our wine cellar continues to be a popular draw. Equus was recently awarded the "Award of Unique Distinction" from 2005 till 2008 by The Wine Enthusiast Magazine. We were also awarded the 2001 Award of Excellence by Wine Spectator for having one of the most outstanding restaurant wine lists in the world. Today, our Wine Menu features over 600 labels from around the world.

You can dine from our seasonal Prix Fixe Three or Four-Course Menu. Let our knowledgeable staff guide you through the menu and pair each course with a selection from our very extensive wine cellar and enjoy heavenly new desserts from our own pastry chef and our cheese presentation features delicious French and Hudson Valley Artisan cheeses.

Equus serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily. Castle Tea served Monday – Saturday and Sunday Champagne Brunch. Private parties are welcome.

Lunch: Noon to 2:00pm
Dinner: 6:00pm to 9:00pm (except Saturdays 5:30pm to 10:00pm)
Sunday Champagne Brunch: 11:30am to 2:30pm
Castle Tea: Served Mon-Sat 3:00pm to 4:30pm
